In addition to working with your financial advisor, please notify the BWAC’s Vice President, Diane Robertson Tracy, at 734-277-4994 or DianeRTracy@gmail.com before your transfer is made (so we can monitor our account for your expected transfer) with:

 

1. the name of the stock

2. the number of shares being gifted

3. any special instructions (like a designation for the gift or making it in honor of or in memory of someone dear to you)

 

​GIFTS FROM RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS

If you're an IRA owner and don't need the money from the Required Minimum Distribtuion (RMD), you might consider making a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). If you’re at least 70½ years old, you can donate up to $108,000 in 2025 (up from $105,000 in 2024) directly from your IRA to a qualified charity like the BWAC and you won't owe income tax on the distribution. Plus, if you’re 73 or older, the donation counts toward your RMD for the year.

 

For those considering a gift from acoounts like an IRA or 401K, please contact your financial manager about your intent to disburse funds to the BWAC and provide the BWAC information below, along with any information about timing and/or designation for your gift.
